SunMed CBD Pet Products FAQ's
Is it Safe to Give CBD to Your Dog?
It’s incredibly safe to give Sunmed CBD dog treats to your four-legged friend. At SunMed CBD, we use high-quality CBD extracts for dog treats, the same that goes into the rest of our product range. We strongly suggest that you consult your vet before you start offering CBD to your pet. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us right away.
How Does CBD for Pets Differ From What We Consume?
It doesn’t, apart from the flavor. The ingredients used for CBD for pets do not differ from the ones that we use for humans. We also use the same CO2 extraction process for our CBD pet products. Since CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in pets and people, we believe it should be of the highest quality. The only significant difference is in the pet products' flavor so that your four-legged friend will want to eat them.
What are the Benefits of Trying CBD for Dogs?
Our customers have a lot of reasons for trying CBD for dogs. Many claim that giving CBD to their pets has allowed them to enjoy a healthier and better life. Others have had success in using SunMed CBD for dealing with separation anxiety in their dogs. However, just like for humans, CBD products for humans are not meant to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in pets.
Will the CBD Treat Make My Pet Get High?
No, it will not. CBD compound is on-intoxicating and will not get humans or any animals high. We also make sure our CBD treats have THC that comes up to less than 0.3%, which means that your pet will not become high or have psychoactive reactions.
How Do I Pick the Right Product for My Pet?
At SunMed CBD, we try to keep things easy for everyone. That is why our hemp dog treats are only available in two significant sizes – for large dogs and small dogs. The little dog variation has 1mg of CBD per treat, whereas the large dog variation contains 2.5 mg per treat.
Based on this, we recommend that any dog that weighs 10 pounds or less should have a 1mg treat. You can then increase the dosage size for every 10 pounds by 0.5mg. Meaning that a 20-pound dog will need 1.5mg, while a 30-pound dog will need 2mg. Our large treats are for dogs that weigh 40 pounds or more.
Can I Give My Dog CBD Oil Meant for Humans?
No. We strongly recommend that you do not give your dog CBD oil meant for human consumption since the concentration level will be higher. Even a 40-pound dog should consume 2.5mg. Humans consume 5 to 10 times more than this amount regularly. SunMed CBD’s oils, tinctures, capsules, and more are not for pets. We have a dedicated section you should shop for our pet-specific range.
